The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum preserves a variety of materials related to the A-bombing. Clothes and wristwatches worn by victims; roof tiles melted by the heat; glass bottles, rice bowls and coins that melted into barely recognizable lumps―A-bomb artifacts like these convey the reality of A-bomb devastation. We also have materials that reveal details of life in those days, such as clothing coupons and air-raid hoods.
